Hey there reader, and welcome! Is this your first time here? Have some coffee, get comfortable, and let me show you around!
FROM ELLIOTT began in 2007 when I was still in college, and in the throes of frustration over my latest lit paper. I started the blog as a space where I could rehash what I learned in class, air out thoughts about my latest reading assignments, and hopefully—hopefully!—find something to write about in my papers. Several reincarnations and name changes later, From Elliott became my virtual home-away-from-home for all things bibliophilic and geeky. While I will always identify as a bookworm first and foremost, I cannot pass up great movies, riveting comics, or moving plays. At the end of the day, I just love a good story. I hope you do too!
Not sure where to start? How about some of my favorite posts?

- Thoughts on ITV’s Whitechapel (Series 1)
I also run a few columns on the blog. Take a look!
A Book by its Cover: We’ve all been told not to judge a book by its cover. But that has never stopped me from appreciating good and unique cover art when I see them!
Posts go live the second and fourth Wednesday of each month.
If You Liked: Inspired by the fantastic book blog, Go Book Yourself, this
monthly series features a book of choice, followed by similar titles recommended by moi. Posts go live on the last Friday of the month.
The Reel Deal: I’m no Ebert, but I am my father’s daughter! (Dad’s quite the movie buff.) Here is where I share about the films I look forward to watching, or have already watched.
Expect an update on the first and third Thursday of every month.
Out and About: I’m more of a homebody than I would like to admit, but I do enjoy making the occasional outing, especially if books are concerned!
Every Monday, I share an excerpt from a book that I’m currently reading.
That’s about it. Please feel free to browse, and I hope you enjoy your visit here!
